Umbrella Cockatoo: Kona
(Thinks he's a macaw)
Kona was hatched on January 5, 1997. He is Goliath's "big brother" in age
but thinks he's the king of the perch otherwise. He is the most loving bird
we've known and always manages to bring out a smile in us even on a bad day.
He loves playing outside his cage on his boingy rope and also loves hanging
upside down to play with toys. Kona is learning many words such as "I love
You", "hello", "how are you?", "Kona Bird" and "nite nite". He also laughs
when the dogs get in trouble and then barks like our dogs to annoy us. His
diet consists of some nuts, large hookbill seed mix, fresh fruts & vegies,
Harrison's pellets and warm mashed foods.
