DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that a parrot has feelings of hate, love and jealousy?
Did you know that every parrot needs a natural partner?
Did you know that in the spring every parrot screams for a partner?
Did you know that after about 3 to 6 years after buying a parrot
      you will have problems because they want to brood?
Did you know that parrots prefer living in an aviary instead of
      your living-room (also in the winter!)?
Did you know that only 10 out of a 100 parrots learn to talk?
Did you know that most parrots die of the same disease than man?
      (Meaning too much fat, stress, too little exercise!)
Did you know that many parrots have to live in too small a space?
Did you know that a parrot needs much attention,
      namely about 8 hours a day?
Did you know that of all species the parrots are mostly threatened
      by extinction?
Did you know that breeding parrots is not difficult at all and
      that import is therefor not necessary?
Did you know that a macaw or a cockatoo living in an apartment
      causes much annoyance?
Did you know that about 70% of the parrots catch miner lungs
      because he is living in a dry and stuffy room?
Did you know that many parrots have more than 5 different owners
      because he can get very old, about 50 to 70 years?
Did you know that the Dutch Animal Protection, Ministry of
      Agriculture and Fishery and Protection for Birds and different
      other organisations are supporting the import prohibition and that
      we are jubilating this?
