Add. Notes:

From it's blue and yellow appearance this macaw can easily be mistaken as A. ararauna - the Blue and gold Macaw. Until the early 70ties of this century they were not really known and always estimated as a variety of the A. ararauna.
First successful breeding in captivity was in 1984 in Loro Parque, Tenerife.
